Why I admire Michael Palin
Michael has always been my “favourite” python, and as a child I found him hilarious. I adored the Time Bandits (which he wrote) and enjoyed his travels on TV (still do, more so).
As an adult I recently discovered Ripping Yarns, and can’t believe I haven’t seen them before. They are fantastic! I read his diary recently, and find it odd that I can be so nostalgic for a time and place I’ve never known.
He is an excellent writer, a great actor, a renowned traveller, an intelligent person, a family man and a (seemingly!) nice person. I definitely want to shake his hand, buy him a pint and listen to the amazing stories he must have to tell.
